Pirate treasure for the grandkids treasure hunt!
Every year I plan a treasure hunt for my small grandchildren when they come to visit. These coins were very durable, shiny and easy for my three and five-year-old to pick up. We hid them around our property in the flowerbeds and the kids had so much fun collecting them. Excellent price and durable product.
Fun for costume parties or cosplay.
We were attending a pirate costume party, and we were told we had to enter by paying with pirate loot, so we got this and this and it worked great! Everyone was quite impressed with the details and the weight of each coin. It was nice finding some that weren’t cheap plastic and the bag it came in was cool too.
LOVE these clinky coins!
Wonderful “party favor” type thing for a pirate’s themed party! Or—for my purposes. I am staging a pirate thing for my 9 grandkids, and these couldn’t be more perfect! Clinky metal, colorful, and different sizes. I love them, and they are enough for each child to have some, because there are 9 of each color/size. I would HIGHLY recommend, and did I mention how close to reality they are to genuine Spanish treasure? The markings are SO CLOSE, and on BOTH SIDES!
Useful props
They feel and appear to be authentic. Their size, weight, and appearance all give one the impression that they are real coins. Besides the fact that they have no value, these coins function as if they were real.
Bought these for a pirate cosplay
I bought these to add to my pirate cosplay for my local renn faire, and they look amazing! They are just a tad lighter than I expected, but they look and feel like something you might find in a buried treasure chest. When you jangle them they make an excellent clanging sound like a real bag full of coins which is perfect!
The Detail and Feel is Great
My favorite part about these coins is how much tactile detail they have, and with all the raised bumps, ridges, and lettering, it makes for a very fun and fulfilling hand-feel. Their weight is nice too: not too heavy but with just the right amount of heft. They are also thin, but not flimsy.
Who doesn't need doubloons in their life?
They are made of metal of some sort but obviously not actual gold, silver, and copper. We got them for tabletop RPGs. My partner and I like to use them as markers and to hand them out for inspiration or to create immersion if we "hand the party a bag of loot".
Nice and smooth doubloons, look authentic, feel great, nice weight
Set comes in a frosted clear plastic container that is easily giftable. Inside the pack you will find 36 doubloons that are in a variety of sizes and have a nice weight to them. Also included is a small satchel for storage or for those cosplay people. We use doubloons in our games of D&D, but also use them as markers in other games as well.
Great fun
These coins can be used for a variety of purposes. I use them as props in my table top role playing games. It's fun to give a bag of coins available to drop on the table when the characters are negotiating a fee. These coins might even come in handy if you were teaching a young one to count using different types of coins. Their use is only limited by your creativity.
Really nice set
I'm really impressed with these pirate coins - they look, feel and sound just like real coins. The coins come in 4 different sizes/colors and include a small drawstring pouch to hold them all in. The smallest coin is about the size of a US nickel, while the largest coin is about the size of a US half dollar. The coins feel durable and cannot be easily bent. I think these would make a great gift!
